Cultural Ecologies of Asia

This exhibition, in collaboration with Sapar Contemporary and Dallas Art Fair, features new works by artists from from Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Singapore, and the United States.

Reflections and Repercussions: Aki Onda

New York-based artist and composer Aki Onda will create a site-specific performance inspired by Jacob Hashimoto’s Nuvole installation and the museum’s permanent collection. Using light, sound, and other media, the complex relationship between the concrete and the ephemeral is explored. Featuring Queens-based vocal artist Samita Sinha.

Calligraphy: Shadow and Light

Join artist Master Shen-Long for an exclusive studio experience where he creates a bold new calligraphic ink work in front of a live audience.  Using video technology, the audience was invited to watch the artist in action in real-time from all angles.  This world premiere event was co-commissioned by the Crow Collection of Asian Art and the Nancy A. Nasher and David J. Haemisegger Family SOLUNA International Music and Arts Festival.

To Infinity: The Art of Master Shen-Long

This exhibition, presented by the Crow Collection of Asian Art and NorthPark Center, featured a new monumental painting by international multidisciplinary artist Master Shen-Long that celebrates the power of all beings to create their universe.
